The Mitsubishi Motors brings an attractive compact Sedan package with a beautiful combination of curves, creases and angles that truly highlights the visual evidence of fundamental dynamic capabilities. The manufacturer to design the latest Lancer uses the same 2007 Outlander platform. It is available in DE, ES, and GTS versions. All the models have seven airbags, including a driver's knee airbag and side-curtain airbags. It gets power from a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that provides 152 horsepower when mated with a five-speed manual transmission. In short, the Mitsubishi Lancer is an all-new affair for 2008.
Mitsubishi Lancer Interior
The beautiful interior styling of the latest Lancer is very neat and clean. All the myriad of functions are controlled by just three or four knobs, while few switches are sprinkled here and there for fringe features. The new dashboard looks slicker, more modern and even a bit sportier as compared to the earlier models. The comfortable cabin can sit up to five adults. Front seats are comfortable, with ample seat bottom cushions. The rear seats are quite improved over the 2006 line-up with more cushioned seats, deeper seat bottoms and three adjustable head restraints. The fold-down, center armrest in the ES and GTS trims is more stable than it looks. There is more headroom and hip room in both the front and rear seats with an improvement in the cargo space also.
The latest Lancer looks a totally new car not only from the interior segment but also from outside. The 2008 line-up is launched in a brusque face with lots of detailing in the front and the backside. The grille and lower intake takes the shape of a trapezoid in a horizontal manner that gets split by the front bumper. Blacked-out blanks placed just below the bumper bring a balanced space to put the headlights and the projector-lens fog lights. A high belt-line can be noticed in the car's exterior that gives more substantial and firmly planted look. The base line has 60-aspect tires on 16-inch wheels and it looks just right in the circular wheel openings.
